About MECH

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2010. The Department is currently headed by Dr. P. Ranjith Kumar, Presently there are 6 Faculty members in the Department. The faculty members are dedicated to the welfare of the students with varied core competency assisted by a hardworking group of non teaching staff members.

The Department has well equipped laboratories such as Manufacturing Technology Lab I & II, Thermal Engineering Lab, Engineering Practices Lab, Strength of Materials Lab, CAD / CAM Lab & Fluid Mechanics Lab with adequate facilities as well as high end equipments cater to the needs of the budding engineers. The Mechanical Association was Inaugurated in the name of 'MASS' on 9th September 2011. The Chief Guest Dr.Xavier Kennedy, AGM, Abrasives Research & Development, Carborandum Universal Ltd., Chennai had inaugurated the Association in a great manner.

Guest lectures, Seminars and workshops have been organized for the students and the faculty by calling eminent personalities from reputed institutions. The students are constantly motivated to participate in co curricular and extracurricular activities apart from their curriculum so as well equip them cope up with the competitive world. Many of our students have participated and proved their technical skills in workshops, seminars and technical symposia in intra and inter college events. Personality Development programs and interviews are arranged periodically to empower the students in facing the modern world with confidence. Which provides a platform for the students to express their talents.
